Our LIBS instruments are designed for use with a variety of Q-switched Nd:YAG laser from several manufacturers including Litron (UK), Lumibird (Quantel, France and Big Sky, USA), Innolas (Germany) and Ekspla (Lithuania). The majority of our laboratory bench-top LIBS instrument sales use a single-pulse 1064 nm laser of typically 150 mJ (adjustable) pulse energy but we have supplied LIBS instruments with lasers of other wavelengths (532 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm) and double-pulse lasers. One LIBS instrument we supplied to a research institute in China used a dual wavelength (1064 nm and 266 nm) double-pulse laser designed to allow the user to select the laser wavelength and single- or double-pulse output.
We normally supply our LIBS instruments complete with a laser but should the customer wish to use their own laser, we can supply a LIBS instrument ready for integration with the customer’s laser. We provide technical support regarding the fitting and optical alignment of the laser head with the optical components of the modular LIBS instrument. Please contact us for further information on specific laser models which are compatible with our hardware and software.
